The Pac-12 conference college basketball tournament will be played at T-Mobile Arena for the second consecutive year from March 7 through March 10. This is a standalone arena that isn’t connected to a casino. New York-New York and Monte Carlo (soon to be named Park MGM) are the two closest casinos to the tournament and only a 45-second walk outside of the arena.
Before the Pac-12 Tournament moved to T-Mobile Arena, the games played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena inside the MGM Grand casino. Sports bettors could place wagers on a Pac 12-game before walking to their seat at the tournament without leaving the building. This year gamblers will have to walk into and out of the casino before entering the arena if they want to place a wager at a sportsbook before the games.
Load up your mobile betting account before the tournament starts
Fans of Pac-12 teams that go the distance in the tournament could actually skip this trip multiple times before wagering on their favorite team.
New York-New York and Monte Carlo are the closest casinos to the venue where bettors can set up and fund a mobile sports wagering account with playMGM. This mobile sports wagering app allows bettors to place wagers on the games anywhere in Nevada – including inside of T-Mobile Arena.
Mobile sports wagering apps are great for conference tournaments because bettors can place in-game and in play wagers, bet on other games, and place futures bets while in the arena.
For example, gamblers watching a team play well can instantly place a wager during the game on a team playing or wager on them to win the national championship. Additionally, gamblers can wager on anything that’s available that given day.
Where to sign up for playMGM
PlayMGM and other sports wagering apps offer bettors a lot of flexibility. However, the proximity of first funding an account so close to the Pac 12 tournament is convenient. The playMGM app can also be funded directly from the mobile device if there’s a need to add additional funds. This is a convenience that isn’t available for all mobile sports wagering apps.
New York-New York and Monte Carlo are the most convenient MGM Resorts properties to T-Mobile Arena, but they’re not the only casino where bettors can set up accounts. Sportsbooks at the following casinos can also set up PlayMGM mobile sports wagering accounts.
- Circus Circus
- Mandalay Bay
- MGM Grand
- The Mirage
PlayMGM uses point spreads from MGM Resorts International casinos. Read our full review of the playMGM app.
More college basketball tournaments in Las Vegas
The Pac-12 conference tournament isn’t the only one that takes place in Las Vegas. There are four college basketball conference tournaments that take place in Las Vegas. Two of those tournaments take place in the same arena. That venue happens to be attached to a Nevada casino.
West Coast Conference Tournament: March 1-6 at The Orleans
Mountain West Conference Tournament: March 7-10 at Thomas & Mack Center
WAC Conference Tournament: March 7-10 at The Orleans
Both the West Coast conference and WAC tournaments take place at The Orleans. Unlike the Pac-12 tournament on the Vegas Strip, this arena and casino are a bit more isolated. Nearby options to open a sports wagering account are limited. The Orleans is operated by Boyd Gaming. The B-Connected Sports app can be funded at the sportsbook inside The Orleans casino.
The Mountain West conference tournament takes place at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. There are multiple casinos nearby where a bettor can fund a mobile wagering app to bet during the tournament. Here are a few options for nearby locations for the Mountain West conference tournament:
Hooters, Silver Sevens – William Hill
Hard Rock, Tropicana – CG Technologies
MGM Grand – playMGM
Sports wagering apps can make watching live sports even better by adding extra action to the games. There’s fun to be had whether a bettor is participating on wagers during the game or wagering on other events. Betting on sports will never be the same once mobile wagering becomes a part of a gambler’s life.
