The Westgate SuperContest is back for the 2022 season and registration is now open.
The pro football handicapping contest is still one of the most prestigious in the country.
The SuperConest first launched in 1988 at the casino that was then known as the Las Vegas Hilton. This year the Westgate has added some in-season twists to the pro football picks contest.
Once again the SuperContest will pay the top 30 finishers at the end of the 18-week pro football season. For the first time, the SuperContest will have 11 in-season bonuses.
This contest is another way for football fans and sports bettors in Nevada to engage with their favorite teams and players, have some fun, and make money on their handicapping skills.
Signing up for the Westgate SuperContest
The Westgate SuperContest is the quintessential pro football handicapping competition. The base contest remains the same in 2022 as its been in recent years.
The cost to enter the traditional SuperContest is $1,000. Each participant can have up to three (3) SuperContest entries.
Players may register until Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. sharp. The SuperContest begins on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, and concludes on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.
There are no fees or takeout by Westgate. All money from contest entries will be paid to winners of the SuperContest.
Last year, 1,972 contestants entered. A total of $1,972,000 from entry fees was paid out to participants in the SuperContest. The entry for SPORTS HANDICAPPER finished first in the SuperContest with a 62-28-0 record.
The prize for winning the SuperContest in 2022 was $335,800.
All participants must sign up for the SuperContest in person at the sportsbook inside of the Westgate in Las Vegas. Players do not have to live in Nevada to partake in the contest.
Out-of-state players may hire a proxy service to place weekly picks for the SuperContest. A person that works for the proxy service must accompany the participant when they sign up for the SuperContest.
Playing the Westgate SuperContest

High rollers can participate in SuperContest Gold. This contest version has the same rules as the traditional SuperContest but less competition due to its $5,000 entry fee. The winner of SuperContest Gold last year took home a prize of $435,000.
SuperContest Gold pays 100% of its entry fees to the winner. The player with the best pro football handicapping record at the end of the season is the only participant that wins a prize.
The SuperContest Reboot is a contest for the second half of the pro-football season (weeks 10-18). The entry fee for this smaller contest is $500.
Like the other contests, the SuperContest Reboot pays back 100% of the entry fees. Only the top 10 finishers in this contest will win a prize.
