The sportsbook at Bally’s closed shortly after March Madness. This week Caesars announced it will be replaced with an all-ages arcade as part of the transformation of the property.
Earlier this year, Caesars announced it will rebrand Bally’s as Horseshoe Las Vegas. The renovation project is taking place in pieces while the property remains open.
Nevada sports bettors will have a new place to gamble when the property becomes Horseshoe Las Vegas. A new Caesars Sportsbook ticket counter will open in a new space later this year.
The Arcade at Horseshoe Las Vegas
The Arcade at Horseshoe Las Vegas will open in the fall of 2022. The arcade will occupy the 7,000-square-foot space in the basement of the property near the food court.
The sportsbook was in desperate need of a makeover. The new concept will update the drab decor.
Designed by Aria Group, the arcade interior is inspired by “urban nights.” The space will feature a variety of colorful artwork and bright neon lights.
This new experience at Horseshoe Las Vegas will offer more than 80 games. The gaming options will consist of arcade classics to the latest releases.
“We are excited to introduce unique experiences that will resonate with our guests at Horseshoe,” said Jason Gregorec, SVP and General Manager of the property. “The Arcade will welcome all ages and open the door for a broader audience.”
While the new venue will be open to all ages, it will also keep a popular feature from the sportsbook. Caesars plans to refresh the bar that was just outside of the sportsbook.
Caesars sportsbook changes on the Vegas Strip
Swapping out the Bally’s sportsbook for the Arcade at Horseshoe Las Vegas is a bit of a change for Caesars.
The company has been slowly upgrading its Las Vegas sportsbooks. Earlier this year, the Caesars Palace sportsbook saw a refresh with new carpeting, seats, and a new viewing option.
Most recently, Caesars re-opened an upgraded Harrah’s sportsbook. The renovated venue at Harrah’s has a new, more casual, living room-style seating area.
The Harrah’s sportsbook also has an upgraded viewing experience with more than 760 square feet of new LED TV walls. There are also six new odds boards, room for six in-person betting windows, and two self-serve kiosks.
The sportsbook at Paris Las Vegas is currently being renovated. Details on the changes have not been revealed yet. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see similar seating and viewing upgrades that are now at Harrah’s.
Earlier this year, Caesars did reduce one sportsbook. The company streamlined its sportsbook space at The Linq. The sportsbook with Fan Caves that featured individual “living room”-style spaces is now a traditional sports bar with a betting desk.
